The Applied AI Specialist is the hands-on practitioner who takes AI capabilities from prototype to production — bridging the gap between the research world of foundation models and the practical constraints of enterprise software delivery. This role is applied engineering with AI tools, focused on making AI systems work reliably in real business contexts. Role & Responsibilities: • Design and implement LLM-powered features across enterprise applications — customer service automation, document intelligence, internal knowledge assistants, code generation tools • Build and optimise RAG systems: document processing, embedding pipelines, retrieval tuning, reranking and response quality evaluation • Write and iterate system prompts for production AI features — applying structured prompt engineering techniques to achieve consistent, reliable model behaviour • Build evaluation frameworks for AI outputs: defining test cases, running automated evals, measuring quality metrics and tracking regression • Implement AI safety guardrails: content filtering, output validation, PII detection and prompt injection defence • Integrate AI capabilities using Azure OpenAI SDK, Anthropic Claude API, LangChain or Semantic Kernel • Prototype new AI use cases rapidly and assess feasibility — distinguishing between what looks impressive in a demo and what works reliably in production • Document AI system behaviour, prompt templates and evaluation results — creating institutional knowledge for maintaining AI systems Required Skills & Experience: • 3+ years of software engineering or data science experience with at least 1 year focused on LLM applications • Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel or direct API usage • Practical prompt engineering experience: few-shot prompting, chain-of-thought, structured outputs and tool use patterns • Experience building RAG systems: you have debugged retrieval quality, tuned chunking strategies and measured answer quality • Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI or Anthropic API experience in production • Understanding of LLM evaluation: RAGAS, DeepEval, human evaluation design or equivalent • Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) preferred What We Offer: • Hands-on AI engineering role at the frontier of enterprise adoption • Salary ₹35–55L based on experience • Remote-first with flexible working hours • Access to latest model capabilities and enterprise AI preview programmes The Applied AI Specialist makes AI work in production — not in a notebook, but in a system real users depend on.
