A US AI product company building enterprise-grade document processing and knowledge extraction tools is hiring an Azure AI Engineer to design and implement AI solutions using Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry. You will work closely with product and data engineering teams to bring AI capabilities from prototype to production. Role & Responsibilities: • Design and implement AI solutions using Azure AI Services: Language, Vision, Document Intelligence, Speech and Custom Vision • Build and integrate Azure OpenAI models (GPT-4, embeddings) into product workflows • Develop intelligent document processing pipelines using Azure Document Intelligence and Form Recogniser • Implement Azure AI Search with vector search and semantic ranking for knowledge retrieval use cases • Build responsible AI guardrails: content filtering, PII detection and output evaluation frameworks • Collaborate with backend engineers to expose AI capabilities as REST APIs using Azure Functions or API Management • Monitor AI solution performance, cost and quality in production using Azure Monitor and Application Insights • Contribute to AI architecture decisions and evaluate emerging Azure AI preview services Required Skills & Experience: • 3+ years of software or data engineering experience with a focus on AI/ML implementations • Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) — required • Hands-on experience with Azure Cognitive Services and Azure OpenAI Service • Proficiency in Python; experience with Azure SDK, REST APIs and LangChain or Semantic Kernel • Understanding of prompt engineering, RAG patterns and LLM evaluation • Familiarity with Azure infrastructure: Functions, API Management, Key Vault, Container Apps • Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) is a plus What We Offer: • Fully remote role on IST hours with US overlap • Salary $100,000–$130,000 depending on experience • Meaningful product work — your AI solutions directly power the company's core offering • Fast-moving engineering team with direct access to Azure AI private previews Ideal for a software engineer who has moved into AI engineering and wants a role where Azure AI is the core of the product — not a side feature.
