A UK FinTech scaleup building embedded finance infrastructure for SMEs is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to work across the product stack. You will build customer-facing React interfaces and the Node.js backend services that power payment flows, account management and financial reporting for thousands of small business customers. Role & Responsibilities: • Build and maintain responsive React and TypeScript web applications for SME customers and internal operations teams • Develop Node.js backend services and REST APIs consumed by web and mobile clients • Design PostgreSQL database schemas and write efficient queries for financial transaction data • Build and deploy services on Azure: Container Apps, Functions, API Management and Azure DevOps CI/CD • Implement robust error handling, logging and monitoring using Application Insights • Write unit and integration tests using Jest and Playwright, maintaining high test coverage • Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions, contributing to technical decision-making • Work in two-week sprints with daily collaboration across a fully remote engineering team of 15 Required Skills & Experience: • 4+ years of full stack engineering experience • Strong React and TypeScript skills — you have built complex, stateful UIs in production • Node.js backend experience: REST API design, middleware, authentication and database integration • PostgreSQL proficiency and understanding of relational data modelling • Azure deployment experience: Container Apps, Functions or App Service • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions • FinTech domain knowledge — payments, open banking, accounting integrations — is advantageous What We Offer: • Fully remote role based in the UK • Salary £70,000–£90,000 based on experience • Equity package and annual performance bonus • Modern TypeScript stack with strong engineering discipline and low technical debt For a full stack engineer who wants product variety, remote flexibility and the satisfaction of building financial infrastructure that genuinely helps small businesses.
