The Intelligent Applications Builder is one of Microsoft's new AI-era certifications — AB-410 replaces the retiring PL-200 certification and defines a new category of Power Platform professional who builds AI-infused business applications. Where a traditional Power Apps developer built forms and workflows, the Intelligent Applications Builder integrates Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder models and Azure AI capabilities directly into Power Platform solutions. Role & Responsibilities: • Design and build intelligent business applications using Power Apps (canvas and model-driven) with embedded AI capabilities: Copilot controls, AI Builder integration and custom Copilot Studio agents • Build and configure Copilot Studio agents for business process automation: designing conversation flows, integrating with Dataverse, connecting to external APIs and deploying agents within Power Apps and Teams • Implement AI Builder models within Power Platform solutions: document processing, form recognition, object detection, prediction models and text analysis — integrated into automated workflows • Design Power Automate flows that orchestrate AI capabilities: triggering AI Builder analysis, processing results and routing to appropriate business processes • Work with Dataverse as the data foundation for intelligent applications: data modelling, security roles, business rules and integration with Dynamics 365 • Build Power Pages portals with AI-enhanced features: Copilot-assisted search, AI-generated content and intelligent form completion • Implement responsible AI practices in Power Platform solutions: sensitivity labels, data loss prevention policies, AI Builder model governance and Copilot content filtering • Support the AB-410 certification transition for existing PL-200 certified professionals: helping teams understand new AI-focused competencies Required Skills & Experience: • 3+ years of Power Platform development experience with strong Power Apps and Power Automate skills • Hands-on Copilot Studio experience: building agents, configuring topics, integrating knowledge sources and deploying to channels • AI Builder working knowledge: using pre-built models and custom model training within Power Platform workflows • Dataverse data modelling: tables, relationships, security roles, views and forms • Microsoft 365 integration: Teams, SharePoint, Outlook and OneDrive connectivity from Power Platform • AB-410 (Intelligent Applications Builder) certification — required or actively in beta; PL-200 holders transitioning are strongly encouraged • Azure OpenAI integration via Power Platform connectors is a strong advantage What We Offer: • Role at the frontier of the Power Platform AI transition • Salary £65,000–£85,000 based on experience • Remote-first with Microsoft partner resources and certification support • Direct involvement in AB-410 curriculum and delivery as the certification launches The Intelligent Applications Builder is the Power Platform professional the market needs in 2026 — not just building apps, but building apps that think.
