A Series B UK technology startup building developer tooling for AI-powered applications is hiring a Kubernetes / DevOps Engineer to own the reliability, deployment and infrastructure of their SaaS platform. You will build the CI/CD foundation and Kubernetes infrastructure that lets 20 engineers ship confidently and customers rely on the platform without interruption. Role & Responsibilities: • Design, build and maintain production Kubernetes clusters on AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) • Build and own CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions across multiple services and environments • Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform for all platform infrastructure • Define and enforce deployment standards: GitOps with Flux or ArgoCD, environment promotion and rollback procedures • Set up observability: metrics with Prometheus and Grafana, logging with Elastic or Azure Monitor, tracing with Jaeger • Manage container image security: vulnerability scanning, image signing and supply chain security • Implement Kubernetes security: RBAC, network policies, pod security standards and secrets management with Vault or Azure Key Vault • Participate in on-call rotation and drive incident response and post-mortem culture Required Skills & Experience: • 4+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience • Production Kubernetes experience on AKS, EKS or GKE — you have operated clusters at scale, not just deployed them • Strong Terraform skills and experience managing cloud infrastructure as code • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD platform • Experience with GitOps tooling: ArgoCD or Flux • Docker and container security best practices • Python or Go for tooling and automation scripts • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) preferred What We Offer: • Fully remote role based in the UK • Salary £70,000–£90,000 based on experience • Equity in a well-funded Series B company with strong growth trajectory • High-autonomy environment — you own the platform, not just tickets For a DevOps engineer who wants to build and own the entire deployment and infrastructure story for a fast-moving AI startup, with the autonomy to do it properly.
