A UK enterprise with a 1,500-strong technology workforce is hiring a Learning & Development Manager to own technical upskilling across engineering, data and cloud roles. You will design and deliver the learning programmes that keep the technology organisation current, credible and capable as the business accelerates its cloud and AI transformation. Role & Responsibilities: • Own the technology learning curriculum: cloud, data engineering, AI, cybersecurity and software development skills pathways • Manage the LMS platform (Degreed, Cornerstone or equivalent): content curation, learning path design, enrolment management and analytics • Commission and manage external training vendors: Microsoft, AWS, Databricks, Udemy Business, Coursera and specialist bootcamp providers • Design and deliver bespoke learning programmes for strategic initiatives: cloud migration upskilling, data literacy programmes and AI adoption readiness • Partner with technology leadership to identify skills gaps, align learning to business priorities and measure programme impact • Manage the technology learning budget of £400k+ across vendor spend, internal development costs and learning platform subscriptions • Build the internal trainer and subject matter expert community: identify, develop and support internal knowledge-sharing • Produce learning metrics and ROI analysis for the CTO and HR leadership Required Skills & Experience: • 5+ years of L&D experience with a focus on technical or technology workforce learning • Working knowledge of cloud and data technology landscape — enough to evaluate content quality and vendor credibility • LMS administration experience and data-driven approach to learning analytics • Proven experience managing external training vendor relationships and budgets • Instructional design knowledge: learning needs analysis, curriculum design and evaluation frameworks • Experience managing learning programmes for engineering or technology audiences specifically • CIPD qualification or equivalent L&D accreditation preferred • Technology certifications (Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner) are advantageous for credibility What We Offer: • Hybrid role — London office 2–3 days per week • Salary £65,000–£85,000 based on experience • Budget and autonomy to shape the technology learning strategy • Direct partnership with CTO and technology leadership on workforce capability For an L&D professional who has grown beyond generic learning management and wants to own a technology-focused learning function — where your programme design decisions directly affect how a 1,500-person tech organisation performs.
