The M365 Copilot Administrator owns the technical deployment, governance and optimisation of Microsoft 365 Copilot across an enterprise workforce — ensuring that licences translate into active, effective usage while managing the data governance, security and compliance requirements that enterprise Copilot deployment demands. This is a technically deep role that sits at the intersection of Microsoft 365 administration, data governance and AI adoption. Role & Responsibilities: • Own the Microsoft 365 Copilot deployment: licence management, feature enablement, rollout sequencing and user provisioning across the organisation • Configure and maintain Copilot governance controls: sensitivity label policies, SharePoint oversharing remediation, data access reviews and Copilot usage policies • Manage Microsoft 365 data estate for Copilot readiness: auditing SharePoint content accessibility, cleaning up orphaned sites, reviewing permissions and ensuring Copilot only surfaces content users should access • Deploy and configure Microsoft Purview for Copilot governance: data classification, retention policies, Copilot interaction logging and compliance reporting • Monitor Copilot adoption and usage: Microsoft Copilot Dashboard analysis, usage trend reporting, identifying low-adoption teams and driving targeted interventions • Manage Copilot extensibility: deploying and governing Copilot plugins, Graph connectors and declarative agents built by internal or external developers • Build and deliver M365 Copilot training for end users: Teams Copilot, Word Copilot, Excel Copilot, Outlook Copilot and Copilot Pages — practical, role-specific training that drives adoption • Support the Power Platform Copilot rollout: Copilot Studio agent deployment, governance policies and integration with M365 Copilot experiences Required Skills & Experience: • 4+ years of Microsoft 365 administration experience with at least 1 year focused on Copilot or AI features • Deep Microsoft 365 technical knowledge: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID and Purview • Hands-on Microsoft 365 Copilot deployment experience — you have configured Copilot governance, managed licence assignment and addressed oversharing issues in production • Microsoft Purview experience: sensitivity labels, data classification, compliance policies and audit capabilities • Understanding of Microsoft Graph and Copilot extensibility: plugins, connectors and declarative agent deployment • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102) required; Microsoft 365 Copilot certification is a strong advantage • Power Platform administration experience is advantageous What We Offer: • Technical ownership of M365 Copilot for an enterprise workforce • Salary £55,000–£75,000 based on experience • Hybrid working with flexible remote arrangement • Microsoft partner resources and early access to Copilot preview features The M365 Copilot Administrator is the person who ensures Copilot licences deliver real productivity value — not just by deploying the feature, but by governing the data, training the users and measuring the outcomes.
