A European HealthTech company building AI-powered clinical decision support tools is hiring an MLOps Engineer to operationalise their machine learning platform on Databricks. You will bridge the gap between data science and production engineering, ensuring models are deployed, monitored and retrained reliably at scale. Role & Responsibilities: • Build and maintain the ML platform on Databricks, including feature stores, model registry and automated retraining pipelines • Implement CI/CD pipelines for ML models using Azure DevOps and MLflow Projects • Design model serving infrastructure using Databricks Model Serving and Azure ML endpoints • Set up model monitoring for drift detection, performance degradation and data quality alerts • Collaborate with data scientists to containerise experiments and promote them to production • Define and enforce MLOps best practices: versioning, lineage tracking, A/B testing and shadow deployment • Manage Databricks workspace governance including cluster policies, Unity Catalog permissions and cost controls Required Skills & Experience: • 3+ years of MLOps, platform engineering or senior data engineering experience • Strong Python skills and experience with MLflow (tracking, registry, serving) • Hands-on Databricks experience: Workflows, Feature Store, Model Serving • Familiarity with Azure ML, Azure DevOps and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) • Understanding of ML model lifecycle management and experiment reproducibility • Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare, finance) preferred • Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional is advantageous What We Offer: • Fully remote role, open to EU and India-based candidates • Salary €70,000–€90,000 depending on experience and location • Meaningful work directly impacting clinical outcomes • Small, senior engineering team with high autonomy and low bureaucracy This role suits an engineer who loves the infrastructure and reliability engineering side of ML — someone who believes the hardest part of AI is not training models but keeping them working reliably in production.
