A leading European automotive group is hiring an SAP BW/4HANA Architect to lead the migration and modernisation of their enterprise analytics platform from SAP BW on HANA to BW/4HANA. You will define the target architecture, lead technical delivery and ensure the platform supports enterprise-wide reporting and planning for one of Europe's most recognised automotive brands. Role & Responsibilities: • Define the BW/4HANA target architecture: data flow design, layering model (Inbound, Corporate Memory, Reporting), and virtualisation strategy using CompositeProvider and Open ODS Views • Lead the technical migration from BW on HANA to BW/4HANA including object conversion, simplification and performance optimisation • Design and build BW/4HANA data models: aDSOs, CompositeProviders, Transformation routines and Process Chains • Integrate BW/4HANA with SAP S/4HANA using CDS Views and ODP framework; design real-time replication patterns • Implement virtual data access patterns using SAP HANA Calculation Views and BW Virtual Providers to reduce data redundancy • Define the SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) integration strategy on top of BW/4HANA for planning and predictive analytics • Lead performance tuning: HANA partitioning, hierarchy flattening, aggregation strategies and query optimisation • Provide technical governance and review for the broader BI development team Required Skills & Experience: • 8+ years of SAP BI/BW experience with at least 3 years on BW/4HANA • Deep expertise in BW/4HANA data modelling: aDSO types, CompositeProvider, Open ODS Views • Strong SAP HANA skills: calculation views, SQL Script, table partitioning and performance analysis • Experience with ODP-based data extraction from S/4HANA using CDS Views • Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for planning and reporting on BW/4HANA live connections • SAP Certified Application Associate or Professional in BW/4HANA or BI preferred • German language skills are advantageous; English is the working language What We Offer: • Hybrid role based in Germany — relocation support provided for international candidates • Salary €90,000–€120,000 based on experience • Work on the analytics backbone of one of Europe's premier automotive manufacturers • Long-term programme with senior technical ownership and architectural authority A flagship role for an SAP BW/4HANA specialist ready to architect a next-generation analytics platform at European enterprise scale.
